A wedding in Italy deserves more than one beautiful day.

At Villa Sofia, in Sirtori, twenty minutes from Lake Como and thirty from Milan, a destination wedding becomes something slower and rarer: a private Italian wedding weekend. A few days in one house, with the people you love, in a home that is yours for the whole stay.

We are a family, and this is where we live. When you arrive, we lend you a piece of it.


Friday, arriving in Italy

The weekend begins when you and your closest family and friends come through the gate and settle in. Bags in the rooms, shoes off, the first glass in the garden while the light goes down behind the hills.

In the evening everyone gathers at long tables under the lights for a welcome pizza evening: Italian wine, music, and the kind of conversation that happens only when nobody has to drive home. On request we are glad to put you in touch with the people who make evenings like this, so you can simply sit down with your guests.

It is the right way to begin something Italian.


Saturday, your wedding day

Saturday belongs entirely to you. Getting ready without rushing, the ceremony surrounded by green, then aperitivo, dinner, cake and a celebration that lasts as long as you want it to. The villa welcomes up to around fifty guests for the day.

Coordination, flowers, lighting and styling stay in the hands of your wedding planner or of the professionals you choose. If you would like them, we are happy to share the contacts we know well here, the ones we have watched work in this garden for years. What we take care of is the house, the welcome, and the feeling of being at home.


Sunday, the morning after

There is still time to be together. A slow Italian brunch before the goodbyes, with everyone in yesterday's clothes and yesterday's stories.

For those who want one more day of Italy, the lake is twenty minutes away, and a private boat on Lake Como is possible on request.


Staying together

Villa Sofia becomes your private home for the whole weekend. The wedding weekend includes accommodation for ten overnight guests, and on request there is room in the property for up to twenty. Everyone else can stay nearby and join you for each moment of the weekend, from the Friday tables to the Sunday brunch. If it helps, we are happy to suggest a few places to stay just minutes from the villa.

That is the real difference. Your family and friends are not guests who arrive and leave. They are people who wake up in the same house as you.


A note from Natalia

I paint. It is the thing I have always done, long before the villa opened its doors. For couples and guests who enjoy making something with their hands, I am always happy to share an afternoon of painting during the stay: no experience required, just curiosity and time. Some of my favourite memories of this house started exactly like that.
